Tours of UKAEA, Culham

As many of you will have travelled quite some way for the 52nd EPS Plasma Physics Conference, why not tag on a tour of the UK Atomic Energy Authority as part of your conference experience.
Tours will be held on:
Friday 26th June
Monday 6th July




All include a tour of JET, MAST Upgrade, Remote Applications in Challenging Environments (RACE), and the Materials Research Facility (MRF).
To go on the tour you must have a conference pass and a form of photo ID (passport, driving licence). You must also register when purchasing your conference ticket.
Please note, no travel is provided for the tours of Culham, you must arrange your own travel. To assist with this, please see below some helpful travel tips for getting to Culham.
The easiest way to get to Culham is via train. Culham has its own station which is only a 5 minute walk to UKAEA site. It takes less than hour to get to Culham from London Paddington. It takes only 47 minutes to get to Culham from London Paddington. You therefore might want to consider a flight into London if you’re planning on joining one of the tours.
The journey time via train between Edinburgh and Culham is around six hours.
